老子(道德經)——學悟有得(第十三章)


【原(yuan)文】寵(chong)(chong)辱(ru)①若驚,貴②大(da)(da)患(huan)若身(shen)。何謂寵(chong)(chong)辱(ru)若驚?寵(chong)(chong)為(wei)下(xia),得之若驚,失之若驚,是謂“寵(chong)(chong)辱(ru)若驚”。何謂“貴大(da)(da)患(huan)若身(shen)”?吾所以有大(da)(da)患(huan)者,為(wei)吾有身(shen)③,及吾無身(shen),吾有何患(huan)?故貴以身(shen)為(wei)天(tian)(tian)下(xia)④,若可寄天(tian)(tian)下(xia)。愛(ai)以身(shen)為(wei)天(tian)(tian)下(xia)⑤,若可托(tuo)天(tian)(tian)下(xia)。


【注解】

①寵(chong):恩(en)愛、寵(chong)愛、偏愛。辱(ru):屈辱(ru)。

②貴:重視、看重。

③身:此(ci)處(chu)指身體(ti)。

④貴以(yi)身(shen)為天下(xia):像珍重自身(shen)生命一樣的人去愛(ai)護天下(xia)。

⑤愛以身為天下:此處意為具有(you)奉獻精神的人去治理天下。


【譯(yi)文】

得恩(en)寵(chong)(chong)(chong)和受屈辱(ru)都(dou)令人(ren)感(gan)到震驚(jing)(jing),看重寵(chong)(chong)(chong)辱(ru)得失之(zhi)(zhi)人(ren)如同大(da)病纏身(shen)一樣。什(shen)(shen)么是寵(chong)(chong)(chong)辱(ru)若驚(jing)(jing)?以(yi)受寵(chong)(chong)(chong)為(wei)下(xia),得到寵(chong)(chong)(chong)為(wei)之(zhi)(zhi)驚(jing)(jing)恐,失去(qu)寵(chong)(chong)(chong)也為(wei)之(zhi)(zhi)驚(jing)(jing)恐,這就是“寵(chong)(chong)(chong)辱(ru)若驚(jing)(jing)”。什(shen)(shen)么是貴(gui)大(da)患(huan)(huan)若身(shen)?人(ren)之(zhi)(zhi)所以(yi)有(you)(you)(you)大(da)患(huan)(huan),是因為(wei)人(ren)都(dou)有(you)(you)(you)有(you)(you)(you)形之(zhi)(zhi)身(shen)體,如果沒有(you)(you)(you)有(you)(you)(you)形之(zhi)(zhi)身(shen),那他(ta)還會(hui)有(you)(you)(you)什(shen)(shen)么禍(huo)患(huan)(huan)?因此,像珍重自身(shen)生命一樣去(qu)愛護天(tian)(tian)下(xia)的人(ren),則不會(hui)辜(gu)負天(tian)(tian)下(xia)人(ren)之(zhi)(zhi)期望(wang);具有(you)(you)(you)崇高奉獻精神的人(ren)去(qu)治(zhi)理(li)天(tian)(tian)下(xia),則可以(yi)承受天(tian)(tian)下(xia)人(ren)之(zhi)(zhi)重托(tuo)。


【學(xue)悟(wu)有得】

本章是從(cong)如何調整人的心(xin)理的角度來論述修(xiu)身之道(dao)的。

老子首先(xian)就明(ming)確指(zhi)出,得寵(chong)若驚,失寵(chong)若驚,這(zhe)是一(yi)種(zhong)很(hen)不正常的病(bing)態(tai),就像(xiang)是大病(bing)纏身一(yi)樣,爭(zheng)寵(chong)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)人(ren)或(huo)是以爭(zheng)寵(chong)為榮(rong)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)人(ren),實(shi)際(ji)上(shang)就是卑下(xia)之(zhi)(zhi)(zhi)人(ren),是其道德(de)墮落的表(biao)現(xian),所以“寵(chong)為下(xia)”。

接(jie)著,老子(zi)又指出(chu),一個有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)道(dao)之(zhi)人(ren),應(ying)該要(yao)明白“大(da)病纏身(shen)”的(de)(de)道(dao)理(li)(li),應(ying)該要(yao)具(ju)(ju)有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)健康的(de)(de)心(xin)理(li)(li)狀態(tai),要(yao)具(ju)(ju)有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)高尚的(de)(de)道(dao)德(de)品質,應(ying)該能(neng)夠淡(dan)薄寵(chong)辱(ru)觀念,不計自(zi)身(shen)得(de)失,同時能(neng)真正做到榮辱(ru)不驚,樂于奉(feng)(feng)獻(xian)。所以,老子(zi)最后總結:只有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)像(xiang)珍重(zhong)自(zi)身(shen)生命(ming)一樣去愛護天下(xia)的(de)(de)人(ren),才不會辜負天下(xia)人(ren)之(zhi)期望(wang);只有(you)(you)(you)(you)(you)具(ju)(ju)備(bei)崇(chong)高奉(feng)(feng)獻(xian)精(jing)神(shen)去治(zhi)理(li)(li)天下(xia)的(de)(de)人(ren),才可以承受天下(xia)人(ren)之(zhi)重(zhong)托(tuo)。

值(zhi)得特別說明的(de)(de)(de)(de)是(shi),從(cong)(cong)古至今有(you)(you)許(xu)多注家將本(ben)章(zhang)(zhang)的(de)(de)(de)(de)主題解讀(du)為(wei)(wei)修道(dao)者(zhe)應(ying)(ying)該(gai)(gai)“貴(gui)(gui)(gui)(gui)身(shen)(shen)(shen)(shen)(shen)(shen)”或者(zhe)與其相反,即修道(dao)者(zhe)應(ying)(ying)該(gai)(gai)“忘身(shen)(shen)(shen)(shen)(shen)(shen)”。其實這(zhe)兩(liang)種(zhong)解讀(du)都有(you)(you)失偏(pian)(pian)頗(po)。前面第十(shi)章(zhang)(zhang)、第十(shi)二章(zhang)(zhang)的(de)(de)(de)(de)論述(shu)已經充分體(ti)(ti)現了(le)老(lao)(lao)(lao)子(zi)(zi)對修道(dao)者(zhe)應(ying)(ying)該(gai)(gai)從(cong)(cong)自身(shen)(shen)(shen)(shen)(shen)(shen)“內練”及(ji)“為(wei)(wei)腹不(bu)(bu)為(wei)(wei)目”方面必(bi)(bi)須(xu)注重“貴(gui)(gui)(gui)(gui)身(shen)(shen)(shen)(shen)(shen)(shen)”,本(ben)章(zhang)(zhang)又從(cong)(cong)“心(xin)理(li)”調(diao)(diao)整(zheng)的(de)(de)(de)(de)角度強(qiang)調(diao)(diao)“貴(gui)(gui)(gui)(gui)身(shen)(shen)(shen)(shen)(shen)(shen)”。所謂“貴(gui)(gui)(gui)(gui)身(shen)(shen)(shen)(shen)(shen)(shen)”,就(jiu)是(shi)修道(dao)之人(ren)要(yao)(yao)愛(ai)(ai)(ai)護(hu)和珍(zhen)惜(xi)自己的(de)(de)(de)(de)身(shen)(shen)(shen)(shen)(shen)(shen)體(ti)(ti),不(bu)(bu)僅要(yao)(yao)身(shen)(shen)(shen)(shen)(shen)(shen)體(ti)(ti)強(qiang)健,同(tong)時要(yao)(yao)心(xin)理(li)健康。不(bu)(bu)會(hui)縱情(qing)縱欲,不(bu)(bu)會(hui)貪圖(tu)(tu)聲色美味,不(bu)(bu)會(hui)追名逐利(li),漠視(shi)一(yi)切外在的(de)(de)(de)(de)寵辱毀(hui)譽。所謂“忘身(shen)(shen)(shen)(shen)(shen)(shen)”,則是(shi)一(yi)些人(ren)受了(le)佛(fo)學(xue)的(de)(de)(de)(de)影響,他(ta)們(men)用佛(fo)學(xue)的(de)(de)(de)(de)觀點去附會(hui)老(lao)(lao)(lao)子(zi)(zi),把人(ren)的(de)(de)(de)(de)身(shen)(shen)(shen)(shen)(shen)(shen)與肉(rou)體(ti)(ti)視(shi)為(wei)(wei)同(tong)義(yi)字,佛(fo)教思想認為(wei)(wei),人(ren)的(de)(de)(de)(de)肉(rou)體(ti)(ti)是(shi)可卑(bei)的(de)(de)(de)(de),所以便(bian)有(you)(you)“忘身(shen)(shen)(shen)(shen)(shen)(shen)”的(de)(de)(de)(de)說法(fa)。縱觀《老(lao)(lao)(lao)子(zi)(zi)》全文,可以看出老(lao)(lao)(lao)子(zi)(zi)的(de)(de)(de)(de)生(sheng)(sheng)命觀,實際上是(shi)“忘身(shen)(shen)(shen)(shen)(shen)(shen)”與“貴(gui)(gui)(gui)(gui)身(shen)(shen)(shen)(shen)(shen)(shen)”的(de)(de)(de)(de)辯證統一(yi)。這(zhe)里的(de)(de)(de)(de)“忘身(shen)(shen)(shen)(shen)(shen)(shen)”,不(bu)(bu)是(shi)像有(you)(you)些人(ren)所說,拋(pao)棄自己可卑(bei)的(de)(de)(de)(de)肉(rou)體(ti)(ti),而是(shi)強(qiang)調(diao)(diao)有(you)(you)道(dao)之人(ren)必(bi)(bi)須(xu)能擺(bai)脫切身(shen)(shen)(shen)(shen)(shen)(shen)利(li)益的(de)(de)(de)(de)糾(jiu)纏,盡(jin)己之能,奉(feng)獻(xian)天(tian)(tian)下;“貴(gui)(gui)(gui)(gui)身(shen)(shen)(shen)(shen)(shen)(shen)”,前面已作(zuo)表述(shu),主要(yao)(yao)表現為(wei)(wei)珍(zhen)惜(xi)自己的(de)(de)(de)(de)生(sheng)(sheng)命價值(zhi)。老(lao)(lao)(lao)子(zi)(zi)極力提倡人(ren)們(men)要(yao)(yao)學(xue)習和效(xiao)仿天(tian)(tian)地(di)大自然的(de)(de)(de)(de)崇高品德,即有(you)(you)為(wei)(wei)而不(bu)(bu)妄為(wei)(wei),博愛(ai)(ai)(ai)而不(bu)(bu)偏(pian)(pian)愛(ai)(ai)(ai),不(bu)(bu)思圖(tu)(tu)報,默(mo)默(mo)奉(feng)獻(xian)。本(ben)章(zhang)(zhang)最后所提出的(de)(de)(de)(de),能治理(li)好天(tian)(tian)下的(de)(de)(de)(de)人(ren)必(bi)(bi)須(xu)要(yao)(yao)做到“貴(gui)(gui)(gui)(gui)以身(shen)(shen)(shen)(shen)(shen)(shen)為(wei)(wei)天(tian)(tian)下”“愛(ai)(ai)(ai)以身(shen)(shen)(shen)(shen)(shen)(shen)為(wei)(wei)天(tian)(tian)下”,這(zhe)不(bu)(bu)正是(shi)老(lao)(lao)(lao)子(zi)(zi)所指的(de)(de)(de)(de)“貴(gui)(gui)(gui)(gui)身(shen)(shen)(shen)(shen)(shen)(shen)”和“忘身(shen)(shen)(shen)(shen)(shen)(shen)”的(de)(de)(de)(de)有(you)(you)機結合嗎?
